This beautiful Bald Eagle was found unable to fly in Lennep, MT. The people that found the bird said it was just sitting on a fence post and fell off. The birds weight was 6350 grams on intake and it had a very large crop. An x-ray revealed no fractures or major injuries. The following day the bird was weighed again after it had digested all of its food. The bird now weighed 5560 grams, a loss of 792 grams or 1.74 pounds in one day. We are chalking this one up as simply eating way too much!
