Volunteer Spotlight: Jeannie Hermes

Jeannie Hermes started volunteering at MRCC in 2002 after moving to Bozeman from Chicago where she had taught 6th & 7th grade language arts for 34 years. She began working once a week feeding birds and assisting with rehab. More recently, she has also become involved with the education program, coordinating programs and leading many of them. When ask what part of the education programs she liked the best she replied, "I think it is the anticipation, delight and awe we see in the faces of the audience when we introduce the live birds". It's fun to see that as well as the great interest and appreciation of the kids and adults alike who attend our programs".
