Help MRCC- Feed the Birds

Mice are a staple of many raptor diets, and they cost .77 cents each. That doesn't sound so bad, until the math is done. Up to 50 mice per day are fed to the ambassador and rehabilitation raptors. That comes to 350 mice per week or 18,200 mice per year, which adds up to a grand total of about $14,014. per year. Wow! Any help to defray the cost of mice, whether it is a day's worth of mice or a year's worth is greatly appreciated! You can purchase gift certificates for rats, mice and quail from Layne Labs at http://www.laynelabs.com/wildlife-rehabilitation. Just scroll down and find Montana Raptor Conservation Center on the dropdown menu.

Another way to help feed the birds is to clean out your freezers and donate wild game meat to the Raptor Center. MRCC is always in need of deer, elk, antelope and bison meat. Meat that is a little freezer burned is ok. Unfortunately, burger, jerked or spiced meats cannot be accepted, along with carcasses, scraps or entrails.
