Wildlife rehabilitation is a hands-on
conservation effort, and an
opportunity to see first hand the
impacts we have had on our wildlife
and our environment.
MRCC is governed by a Board of
Directors and employs a Director and
an Assistant Director. We have a
core of more than 30 volunteers.
Our operating funds are derived from
grants, donations, and fundraisers.
We do not receive any state or
federal funds.
Join MRCC in our proactive endeavors to rehabilitate and release injured raptors,
educate, enhance habitat, and contribute to research. These efforts will pay long-term
dividends in healthier, more secure populations of raptors in our area.
The hazards which cause birds to enter our facilities are often a function of a changing
environment. The injuries incurred by these birds are most often human related; and
include being hit by a vehicle, electrical contact with power lines, poisoning, and gunshot.
As human development continues throughout Montana, the environment continues to
change and habitat conditions for the wildlife become increasingly stressed.
